We will be adding another to our horsey family as my partners daughter Natalie is buying a beautiful Friesan girl Tia who will be arriving tomorrow, so expect plenty of post and pictures. She is under weight and out of condition as she been out of work for quite a while but she has the sweetest nature which is the most important thing and everything else will come with care and time.

My happy place
Just a random flower pic from one of the many dog walks
Spent the afternoon sleeping in the sun it's a perfect day not a cloud in the sky and a gentle breeze
My son Nick bought us cake from Patisserie Valerie in Selfridges so I thought I'd take a picture but unfortunately we ate it :) Yum xx
That's my mess by the way x

Family stuff can be the hardest to deal with sometimes, I have a son who is grown up now and I never had much trouble with him behaviour wise (lucky me) in fact I often think he's more grown up than I am.
However my sister has twins a boy and a girl and while my niece is a lovely affable character who is as the saying goes 'away with the fairies' well my nephew is a different kettle of fish altogether. He is nearly 17 and quite frankly he is an idiot he gets himself into trouble on a regular basis staying out when he should be home, not going to college so they won't have him back next year even though his art work is the best in class they say, and all sorts of other stuff involving girls, smoking and the like.
Now I know his Mum and Dad are quite rightly well pissed off with him but even so I dont think they deal with him the right way and that my sister is particularly harsh with him. It's such a tricky one to criticise someone about their parenting even when it's family so I generally don't but also I don't want him to be treated unfairly such a bloody dilemma.

Well its been nearly three months since Tetley got a tendon injury and after weeks of box rest and then a couple of weeks of being turned out today we had our first hack out.
I've missed riding him and I know I'm lucky having two horses to ride but riding Leo (being an Arab) well you have to RIDE. Even mounting is so different with Leo being 14.3 and Tetley 15.3 I just love that big push up into the saddle and then his nice wide back and the lovely creak of his leather saddle getting on.
We only did 20 minutes at walk but he was completely sound tracking up properly and it's good to know we're on the home straight now with this injury. He's back out now with his friends and I'll leave it a couple of days before going out again and only walking at the moment and definitely no schooling for a while. HAPPY DAY
